I got hair extensions last night. I also got my old hair extensions taken out. They used lots of oil. I also got my hair colored, then they put the same extensions back in after she washed and dried them. Now today, one slid out while I was brushing my hair and the glue is still super gummy where it fell out. About three others are coming out too and the glue is super gummy. What is going on and what should I do?Why are my hair extentions falling out and why is the glue still gummy/tacky?
Obviously she didn't do something right. Maybe it was something she put in your hair before she put in the extensions. What you should do is go right back to her and have her fix it.Why are my hair extentions falling out and why is the glue still gummy/tacky?
When you remove hair extensions they usually use oil because it breaks the molecular bonds of the glue. If she used the same extension that she took out, it is possible that there was still oil left on them. Did she wash the extensions and use a bond remover on the extensions to remove the old glue? It sounds like there is still oil in the bonding glue and it is making them come loose. It is probable that she will have to do them over and you may need new extensions or make sure the old ones are free of the old glue and oil before reapplying them.
